Red Red Rose

I started a new FutureLearn online course this week. It's called, 'England in the Time of Richard III'. This week's module was all about the 'Wars of the Roses' fought between the white Rose of Yorkshire and the Red rose of Lancashire. The eventually winner was Henry Tudor from Lancaster and so the red Tudor rose was established on the throne. I think this must have been on my mind when I bought a bunch of red roses on Wednesday.
