Mount Ararat

Not bad as a start of our journey. Woke up ready to roll and we had the first sight without clouds or fog of the mythical Mount Ararat, which at the moment is part of Turkey!

Armenia has beautiful nature, stunning monasteries and archaeological sites. A very sad history but a great hope in the future.

Today was the day in which:
we visited the stunning Geghard Monastery , with massive stone work and surrounded by caves that housed monastic cells
we tasted beautiful food
we had a stroll around Armenia's capital Yerevan among stalls selling roses
