COCoasters

So today we became citizen scientist volunteers, trained in the ways of Capturing Our Coast. Basically every now and then we'll go down to the shore and record seaweed cover, and look for 8 different species in a 'package' we can choose. Well, that's what Mel will likely be doing (probably going for a crab or an anemone package) - I'm thinking of doing some barnacle research, which lets me go all macro photography, and apparently means I get some Star Trek-esque magnifying headset thingy. Oh, and I can tag on some seabird research. Really really good day, and looking forward to getting stuck in!
