BOGOF: Two rants for the price of one!

The boy was taken for another stumble today. We ended up near the Bishop's Palace, a rather large 60s edifice which looks over the Fal Estuary.
Sitting on a log bench were an elderly couple in conversation with another couple. I think there's something really good about the "type" of person who pays the National Trust for the privilege of access to some fantastic gardens, houses and scenery. The vast majority are approachable, have time or make time to chat and discuss what we will do when we take over the country from the shambolic bassas who have been screwing it for the past decades. (That was a small Rant 1)

As we approached this small group I noticed the egrets which have made their home on the estuary, nice, then there was a disturbance in the water. If you look at the picture you will see two tree stumps on the foreshore, now look at 4 o'clock from the stumps there is a small projection of mud into the water, there are two white egrets there, no hippos unfortunately. (There's also another egret at 10 o'clock of the stumps.)
Now have a look just left of the stumps, there's a disturbance in the water, easily discounted as ducks flapping around. However it's a group of otters feeding and playing, totally unaware we were watching. Joy unbounded, wild otters in the water during the day.
This has been hugely cropped as we were about 400 metres, (That's about 410 French Yards) from the stumps.

Rant 2. We have become disillusioned with the BBC ITV etc. I respect many of the presenters and programmes on R4 but in recent months have only watched one or at most two programmes, reluctantly, on the TV; I was especially irate at the Jubilee coverage which apart from Clare Balding was dire. So yesterday I went online cancelled our TV licence, binned the direct debit and we went shopping.
New Smart TV, linked to Apple TV via my Mac, new soundbar, OMG!
"Borrowed" movies from the airways, play beautifully from iTunes, music is thrilling through the soundbar, best of all both middle digits have been fully extended and thrust in the direction of both Salford and the remaining desk pushers in White City and Broadcasting House.
