Retired

She passed doing what she did and loved best--feeding her family--but there's still a twinge of sadness at the loss.  I didn't realize this honeybee was deceased when I first focussed in on her, but it quickly became clear she was no longer harvesting honey from this bottlebrush plant.  I don't know how you feel sadness for an insect, but there was a bit of that in me when I discovered this was the end of her last flight.
