Shetland 11 Lerwick

Back to Lerwick and I thought the dynamic grace of this Arctic tern would make a good farewell to Shetland, even though it isn't the sharpest. Lerwick harbour's a great place for watching terns; good for gannets too.
Went to Lerwick Baptist Church, packed up wet tent, went to museum, had a walk by the harbour - by this time it wasn't wet, just cold and windy - got on the ferry for the overnight back to Aberdeen. Sea was wavy but with the wind behind us it was comfortable.
