Bit of bling ...
I took Cooper on a trip to Glen Massan today for a walk. New territory but as the weather was poor, certainly for a non-waterproof camera, it was a relatively short walk. Definitely want to return as some of the views and waterfalls are stunning.
The road skirts the perimeter of the Benmore Garden, part of the Royal Botanic Garden, and I spotted these glorious golden gates. They mark the entrance to Benmore House and were restored over a four year period returning to the estate just last year. Originally made in the 1870s and displayed at Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1878. Quite remarkable and they cheered up a grey day.
