Second Best Beach in the World

According to the National Geographic magazine, Carne Beach is the second best... and it's below where we're staying!  I've known this beach now for 15 years and it's been consistently fantastic every time - so I'm not surprised that NG have picked it up!

We went for a walk along the cliff path to Nare Head (we can see it from the cottage we're staying at), it's very steep in places, but completely worth it!  We got really hot, overdressed, as sun was beating down on us and with our 4 layers on (!) it was a tad uncomfortable walking, especially as everyone was passing us in t shirts!

The dinner last night was fabulous, what an amazing hotel that is, the chef there is Chris Eden if you want to look him up! :)

Just had a fresh curry from the post office in Veryan, what a brilliant idea, as you can't get proper curry for miles around and they have some partnership with a restaurant somewhere and it works!

As you can see the weather is just divine and it's due to stay now till Thursday (we're home on Tuesday, not that I ever want to leave!) :) xx
