CUMBRIA
We went to Ambleside to get wallking boots for G. Then bought freshly made rolls for lunch and drove round to the foot of the Langdale Pikes to eat them. What a glorious view, and we traced the route we have climbed up and over them. That won't be happening again for me though!
The photo is on the road between Chapel Stile and the Langdales. Being so close to Cumbria we really must go there more often, especially while it is still outside the main tourist season.
