This is one of the lily plants that I rescued from the attentions of the dreaded Lily Beetle when they appeared earlier in the year. They can apparently denude any garden of lilies if they become established. Unfortunately the only way to get rid of them is either to squash them or "nuke" them with a suitable chemical
