Signs of Spring

With one tiny leg hanging on to the beautiful white blossom stamen as a bit of leverage, this little bee shot into the flower to collect the pollen. Lovely to see as a sign of spring today in the sunny garden; we were both loving the warmth of the sunshine. What a change from the wall to wall rain we've been having.

Our neighbours have had their house flooded again with water this week as it poured off the flat surrounding fields with the torrential rain which has hit our area. The fire engines were there yet again and we lent them our pump too. Sadly they had only just finished plastering the internal walls when the water invaded! I feel so sorry for them.
