Cafe Culture

Gets to the point in the year where I start to think just how many good Sundays are left in the year to enjoy the usual Sunday morning bike ride. Not too many I fear and with such unusually wet weather thus far, the full tally for the year will not be great.
A bit windy this morning but set off too early for our usual cafe stop to be open so we diverted on the way back home to a cafe in Burnsall. This is one of the more popular cyclists' cafes in the area, it's just a little too close to home to be a regular stop for me.
It is great to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow cyclists at these 'watering holes' and share stories and experiences. The cafe stop for me is an fundamental part of of the ride and indeed more often than not, route choices are based on and around them.
