Red Tail

I put the crappy long-lens onto my full frame body and went for a walk. The pictures came out tolerably well. Still very grainy, but I learned how to fix chromatic aberration in Lightroom (this lens is really good at aberration...)

I was headed out to see if the red-tailed hawks were really using this platform as their nesting site.  I was just about to the site, when I heard the TV-eagle shrieks behind me and saw the pair circling in from the west.  Sure enough, they went for the platform, and then sat out on some branches, shrieking and posing for my camera.
