The sun shone for part the day, which these flowers were making the most of :-)

In the extras - which I ran out of time to put up yesterday, show where a river had burst its banks, flooding land used as a football pitch, and the second showing part of the football pitch and part of a farmers field - the livestock having been removed before it happened.

It was a dry day, but the excess rain water from the land from Wednesdays rain, flowed into the rivers, they rose, hence this flooding. The good news :-) this is natural floodplain and was expected, and has been higher than this before.
