Black Dog Campaign visits Merchiston @CharitySANE

The Black Dog Campaign reduces the stigma surrounding mental illness and encourages people to seek help early, rather than suffering in silence. A number of artists are designing coats for the Black Dogs. I think the one that appeared in the courtyard at Merchiston this week is by Anthony Cleyndert, who went to art school at 18. At the age of 25 he obtained a degree in Fine Art Print Making. Thanks to an arts grant from SANE Anthony studied stained glass printing at the Central St Martin’s School of Art and now is working on his method of screen printing on to glass. Anthony's artwork was used as the design for SANE's first black dog Horace.
