Roundabout...2007

This Sculpture was part of "Sculptures by the Sea" at Cottesloe in 2007 It was purchased by the local Council and installed on one of the main walkways along Cottesloe Beach.

These two couples were watching the finals of the local surfing competition when I caught them silhouetted against the Sculpture.

"Roundabout" is by Jennifer Cochrane and part of her Monument series. It is made in steel and is intended to give the impression of a roundabout finishing in mid-air and continuing into the ground on the other side.

It proves to be a great subject for photograhers....yours truly included.
