50 Shades Of Blue
Mr E came up with the idea to travel south today, which we rarely do when are in the Highlands. We drove over The Pass of The Cattle, or Bealach na Bà in Scottish Gaelic, which climbs 2054 feet and is apparently the greatest ascent of any road climb in the UK. It was constructed in 1822, to allow drovers to get their cattle from the remote village of Applecross to other parts of the Highlands.
The views from the highest point were breathtaking but the wind chill factor meant that I couldn't stand taking photos for very long!
The weather has been glorious, once again. I will be very sad to leave. Tomorrow we have a friend coming for lunch, which should be good fun :-)
