The Mad Butcher of Winkleigh

Our second day in Devon, which was necessitated by my being very sick, but was able to get out and about today,  Our friend D introduced us to a local butcher who was actually from Dudley near Birmingham originally.  This butchers shop was closed down and he re-opened it in 2005 and brought his own brand of quirky butcher ways - strange hats, very friendly and great meat.

We bought a steak and kidney pie and pastie which we had for dinner tonight back in Sutton, and we sampled some Gala pie on the way for lunch - hadn't had that for a long time, delicious.
