Main Street

Went to Skipton with my friend to our favourite cafe for lunch:
Blue cheese and leek frittata, two salads, glass of wine, desert to share and a coffee. Walked around Skipton in the opposite direction of the shops to work it off a little bit.
I didn't take my camera as Elaine is not very interested in photography and l think it's unfair to keep stopping while l am snapping away and she has to hang about on a cold damp day such as this.
So before l left home l took my camera to the end of the street onto the main thoroughfare of my village. There are many cottages such as these that adorn either side of the road. Not much traffic passes through as a bypass was built twenty years ago that skirts the village.
I decided to play around and give it a sepia look.
When l was a little girl and looked at photographs such as this l thought that was how the world had been in the ' olden days' everything in the world would have been in monochrome or sepia!
