Slip casting

Learnt something new today in pottery, wanted to make a dish for a wedding present in June, so decided to use a mould and slip cast it, by pouring liquid slip into the mould till level with the top, waiting an hour and then carefully pouring out excess slip leaving few millimetres diameter round edge, wiping off any surplus and then I covered in cling film so will be still leather hard in few weeks so I can decorate and inscribe with couples name and wedding date ect!
