Waterlogged!
Today has been a good day - well, for me anyway. I had my final radiotherapy treatment, and after visiting the hospital every day for the last four weeks to get my boob zapped, I think I'm finally cooked! Hopefully it's done what it needed to do, and I have an appointment with Dr Bloomfield, my oncologist next Wednesday to discuss my treatment.
I then drove 'up North' to spend a few days with my girls and Scott, but I stopped off in Northampton for lunch with Lorraine. It was nice to see her, but also good to break the journey up.
I saw lots of flooding, mostly fields that looked like lakes, but I passed this flooded road on my way back to the motorway. As I was sat in stationery traffic, I took a quick shot with my iPhone. I hope there's no more rain tonight!
The second part of my journey was awful - lots of roadworks and a few accidents, but I finally arrived at Rachel's at about 4.15pm, just in time to pick Scarlett up from nursery. Rach hadn't told her this morning that I was coming, so she was really surprised to see me and I got such a lovely hug. She then asked where the doggies were and I told them they were at home, so she said she must come to Nanny's house :-)
Rach has now only got 1.5 weeks until the baby is due, so I'm hoping she decides to make an appearance while I'm here. We've had a hot curry tonight and I'm taking her swimming to David Lloyd tomorrow, so you never know!
