Ripley Castle

Beautiful Yorkshire was very rainy today. A morning of driving Jeeps was wet wet wet! We were supposed to be doing a bit of off-roading in four-wheel-drive Cherokees and Renegades, but the ground was too sodden and would have been badly cut up if we had done as planned.

A coffee stop at Ripley Castle was a real treat. We saw the room where Oliver Cromwell once stayed, and I loved this magnificent hallway with a fine old rocking horse.

Just back from the long drive home. Four and a half hours from Wetherby to Kent. Now relax ...
