Blue Bowl
We set out for the souk in Agadir to buy a small, blue, earthenware bowl.
When we found the perfect one, the bartering began in earnest.
We called on our ancestral spirits to guide us and haggled as if our lives depended on it.
He started at x dirham and I countered with y dirham and we settled on z dirham.
I could have afforded more and he could have discounted more, but honour was satisfied and we parted company on good terms.
