Comedy in Store
Up early for a nice hotel breakfast then out into the torrential rain, got the tube to London Bridge and went up for a look to shelter from the rain. Had to dodge a camera crew filming exterior shots for the new Sherlock Holmes film. After that we walked for a bit then got the tube to Smithfields Market, we'd planned to have lunch at John Todode's restaurant but there would have been an hour wait in the cold so we headed back to the town centre via Charterhouse Square where we saw the amazing Art Deco Building that Poirot lived in. .
Had a lovely dinner in Chinatown then went to the Comedy Store to see the Comedy Store players. We've been before but it was a great mixture of people this time and was really funny. This time we saw
Paul Merton
Josie Lawrence
Neil Mullarkey
Lee Simpson
Ian Coppinger
Steve Edis
A brilliant show and a great antidote to the disasterous night out last night. After the show we wandered down to Trafalgar Square to see it lit up at night, then down to Westminster to get the tube back.
I wish Edinburgh had a tube system instead of those bloomin trams, will never happen though because there are too many tunnels under the centre already. Oh well...
