Point Reyes California

We decided to head over to the coast and take a break from "wine tasting".  I really wanted to see the Point Reyes lighthouse area and hoped to find some birding.  But...we were met with lots of rain and wind, and FOG!  After a long drive we ended up not seeing much of anything...ever have one of those days?

The highlight of the day was visited our good friend ME who just recently lost her husband and moved from Portland down to Sonoma to be close to her children and their families.  She was all settled into her new apartment, and we really enjoyed our visit and dinner.  It is always a hoot to get together with her...never a dull moment in our conversations!  Of course we had to talk politics!
