Thai elephant

I love elephants but am more acquainted with the majestic African elephants with their huge ears. This however is a tamed Asian elephant, pictured on a panel in the Thai restaurant where we had lunch today. I always feel sad at the sight of working Asian elephants. They look so sad.
Son J came in this evening on a long detour on his way home from work. He was delivering lovely Mothering Sunday cards and some nice smelly parcels. It was good to see him and have a big hug before I go into hospital for my new hip on Friday.
