Conference time

I had my hospital appointment this morning and though my PSA count is up slightly, after some good discussion with the medic we decided to delay on new medication until I have retired. I was very impressed with the consideration towards my final weeks at work and the risks that introducing a new drug regime or chemotherapy might do. So I have been given steroids which is a supportive treatment but will only start this if my pains return and stop me working, a sensible short term solution and I am happy with that. It was a sensitive discussion and the consultant was listening!

I rushed to a conference then in Sheffield though managed to arrive for lunch! Enjoyed listening to speakers in the afternoon without the responsibility to run the event. It was great to see the centre I directed running a successful event. I am needed no longer! I just took this pic of a plenary session and a little lazily, decided to blip it!
