Watch Keeper

Today, rain was forecast and indeed we have had a few spots, but nothing significant and it has mainly been sunny.  In consequence we have had even more wildlife in the garden than on most days.  I photographed a variety of birds, a couple of squirrels at play and finally saw four rabbits, two adults and two young.  Today’s picture is of one of the adult rabbits sitting up and keeping watch, while the other one is feeding nearby; the two young ones were playing about fifteen to twenty yards from these and could not be included in the picture.  This picture was taken through the kitchen window; I could not have gone outside without frightening them.  It is nice to see them in the garden as we have not had any significant numbers since the building work started.
