Lit from above

I caught the bus to St Margaret's Hope but got off before the village and walked a couple of miles along the Burwick Road. Not much commercial travel, but I'd forgotten about coaches coming from the ferry. There were only a few, though. I turned down toward Sandwick and passed this derelict farm building. I liked how it sat in the landscape and the light.
From Sand Wick I walked south along the shore past the remains of a broch called 'Weems Castle' and onto the cliffs. There were what might have been puffin burrows and I could see some flying about but I didn't stay and pressed on above Hune Bay and then Hoston Bay as far as Barswick. It looked like rain so I sat in small, dry sea-cave to make coffee using some I'd ground this morning from beans given me by one of the visitors from Wisconsin I mentioned yesterday. It was delicious. Then I headed back. More shots here.
