A Hat Full of Sand

An uneventful Monday.

Another story... The Blip is just a routine harbour shot. March sunshine. Uneventful.

I was listening to the radio in the car on the way to the harbour. Actor Peter Capaldi was being interviewed. He's famous now, but one of his big breaks was in Local Hero back in 1983.

That happens to be my favourite film, by a long way. I was talking about it with N yesterday. Being a mere 40 something (don't tell her I said that) she was still running around in pigtails in 1983, so she's never seen it.

I promised to get my DVD to her.

Aurora borealis was visible in many parts of Scotland last night, to the point of being newsworthy (and Blipworthy I see). In Local Hero it's aurora borealis which gets Happer out of Houston and over to Ferness, so it plays a key role.
