Birthday Boy
The doggie party has been postponed because Bailey's mum couldn't come, and we really want her to be here too. And Rufus and his mum (she's out of town) as well, actually. I'm setting myself a challenge - to get a photo of three dogs with party hats on...
And so Archie will have two birthdays, like the Queen. This is his official one, but he's I'm going to keep that cake to share with his pals. Which could be why he looks so glum. Sorry, Arch.
Our visitors must have had a nice view as they flew out over the city early this morning in the sunshine. Archie and I popped over to see Uncle A. Then we walked back through the Meadows, Archie on his long lead. What a glorious day it was.
I must say, it was slow progress - this knee of mine is worse than ever. How can this be? I could barely make it home, but was spurred on by the image of a chocolate rabbit that A had left for me.
Thanks for all the kind comments on my blipday. I didn't have time to do a special 'Four Years' shot. Though I had dreamt of what I would do. I was going to get my models to stand and make shapes of F - O - U - R. Archie was to have been the U - I'd've just turned him upside down (using computer trickery). Pity I didn't remember to do that at the time (the models were quite obliging). It would have been quite good.
Happy birthday Archie - two years old. Fourteen in doggie years. I reckon he really could grow out of his car sickness now that he's a big boy. That would be nice.
Check out last year"s birthday.
