Little desert flower

We drove back from Surprise to Lake Havasu today, after an all too brief visit with friends there. At one of the brief stops along the way to photograph a large cactus, these tiny flowers were just starting to bloom.
Tomorrow we hope to see more of the blooming desert by starting early back toward Las Vegas, and making a loop into Death Valley. Our friends sent sustenance for the journey with us; oranges and grape fruit just picked from their trees.
