Annual bee shot - take #1

Every summer I try to get at least one good bee shot. Don't ask me why. I guess I just find it relaxing, a bit like fishing. The weather being like it is that's been hard so far.

Today was okay-ish so I decided to give it a go. It's a decent starting point, but the flash is too harsh. I "heath-robinsoned" a diffuser once I saw this shot on the backscreen, but after that, the bees proved rather camera shy. Preferring every other flower but the one I was focussed on. I suspect my setup was getting in the way of their flight path.

I have a plan though, weather permitting...
