Die Laughing
evening all.
I was so good.
It had been such a horrendous day and the weather had made the journey over so treacherous that I was exhausted by the time I got to the concert,
I decided i'd be grown up and hold my ground and not disappear into the snarling, sweating, smiling, sardine tin tight throng at the front of the stage,
protect my head from the flailing boots and limbs from middle aged overweight stage divers.
protect my chest from the crush and press that inhibits my breathing as the mob rolls side to side like a horde of drunken elephants on a rollercoaster,
protect my clothing from the pulls and stretches, rips and tears, and the absorption of the sweat from many strange unwashed bodies,
and protect my dignity and poise in front of an audience of people i'll never meet again.........
"and then you realise, you.re gonna die anyway,"
so all bets were off......again!!
night all
