The Living and The Dead

We called in at the local cemetery on our way back from a bike ride this afternoon.
After checking family plots and Graves we were looking at Graves in the old original part of the cemetery. Most of the people buried there are immigrants from England, Ireland and Scotland who are the forebears of today's towns people..who now consider themselves to be true blue Kiwis. My husband's parents and grandparents were Irish settlers themselves and my own grandparents were from Shetland, England and Ireland.
