Rye Harbour Beach

In spite of the wind chill and rain, we had a good day out in Rye in East Sussex being our first trip to the sea this year.

We had lunch in our favourite tea shop/gallery, Avocet Gallery, run by a very talented photographer and his wife. Always lots of great artworks on display and good food to eat.

Afterwards we walked around the old town of Rye browsing the antique shops and galleries, and admiring the mediaeval buildings. From the Citadel there are great views over theRiver Rother and out to sea.

All in all a lovely day out. Windswept and tired we were back home within an hour.
