Up on the tops...

The snow has mostly gone where I live at the bottom of the valley. Up on the tops however it's a different story. As I drove up there this morning I was a) surprised to find clear roads and b) that there was so much snow. It was absolutely beautiful. This photo was taken late this afternoon with a bit of sunshine, some dark clouds, some blue sky and lots of wind!

The extra is a photo of two beautiful great crested grebes that sadly stayed asleep while I was watching them. I'll go back to see they are going to dance... :)
