One Thousand, and Five Hundred !!!!!

Oh my! 1,500 blips.

Not quite sure exactly how that happened.

None of this could of course happened if it had not been for the fantastic work of Joe Tree. It was very sad to see his final blip posted a few days ago, and I'm hoping he posts in the future.

Blip may not be his any more, but our babies are always our babies, no matter how much they grow up. So Joe will always be the father of blip.

It started for me, with an introduction to blip from my best friends other half (Liffers), and it's been a photography fuelled adrenaline trip ever since.

I started on my 39th birthday, but a bit of back blipping messed up my stats for a while. With my blip birthday now being nowhere near my actual blip birthday I back blipped again, and again, and again.

My earliest  blip goes back to 95, but from now on, the only 'backblips' will be those posted a day or two later.

This one is currently my most favourited entry.

Yet this one has the most stars.

My favourite though is this as in order to take it, I had to be up there with them. What a day.

Shaun the Sheep proved popular also.

As for today's blip; I've added some more to the my public facebook page. If you like it, feel free to like the page.

I was very tempted to post the B&W version of this, but couldn't resist leaving in the yellow. I have however added the B&W version as the extra.

For those of you who don't know Bristol (WHY NOT?), this is Dower House, in Stoke Park estate.

Up until the 80's it was still being used as part of a hospital. I believe as part of a former mental asylum!

Now, it's luxury flats. How times change eh?

One thing that doesn't change is my blip tendency to be either my first or my last photo taken that day.

I took quite a few today (see the Facebook page), then turned my attention to the other direction, and climbed back down the hill. As I turned to  go back to the car I realise that the blue sky had very suddenly been replaced by ominously dark black clouds.

One snap in the bag, then back home.

Fiddled around with clarity and contrast in lightroom, but not much else.

Thank you for all the people who stop by; and especially those who regularly comment on my blips (especially Riversider, who shares my pain of being a North East football fan - p.s Hartlepool won 3 - 1 away from home today).

Thanks for being there.

For the kind words.

The stars.

The hearts.

Re-igniting my love of photography.

I've been far more open on this site than I have on others; and without the honesty of the community I could not have done that.

There are so many varied and interesting people on here.
I love the blips of MildlyOffensive with his alphabetical tour of the Munich subway (70/100 so far).
And what about those squirrels.

So much to keep us all interested.

Thanks again, and I think I'll go now, before I start to blub.

Love to all the blippers out there, and here's to the next 1,500!!!!
