Cruise Ship Racing

A sea day today.  As I passed one of the doors to the open deck, I noticed we seemed to be racing with another cruise ship.  This is Sovreign, operated by the Pullmantur Line.  She was built in 1988, weighs 73,000 tons, is 880 feet long, and carries 2,850 passengers. By comparison, Mariner was built in 2001, weighs 48,075 tons, is 709 feet long, and carries 700 passengers.
