We have a VW California and today it went in for its annual service (needed 2 new tyres, plus balancing, plus brake fluid = ouch). It is now ready for the annual big european vacation in the summer (to Rome and back).
VW really have a brand to die for, people feel real affection for them. I'm not the type to go to VW rallies or anything, but I do love the attention to detail in the Cali. But if you want to portray surfer cool you only have to sketch an old campervan or a beetle and it's like a universal language.
