Lunch

Stopped on the way to Newcastle for lunch at my favourite place 'Worn out wares' that is a secondhand shop, florist and coffee shop all rolled into one. I sat in the florist's section today with beautiful sights and smells to enjoy while I ate lunch. My favourite sweet corn fritters with Beetroot relish went down beautifully!

I though the day was going to turn out worse than it did when I got half an hour into the trip and found that the road had been closed because of the protesters dangling off the bridge over the highway. Luckily only a half an hour delay, otherwise I would have been looking at a 2.5 hour detour. But there was no way I was missing the plane so it would have been done.

Michael arrives home tonight after a month in South Africa playing cricket with the Aussie Over 60's team. I'm so excited to see him :) We will be staying in Newcastle overnight as I can't face driving 6-7 hours through the night. Not long now!
