LED

I've always hated CFL energy saving light bulbs.  They are slow to come on and warm up, the colour is horrible, and the flicker is often visible.  The ones we have had never seem to last much longer than an ordinary bulb either.

LEDs are a different story - they save even more energy, and the good ones do seem to last.  The light is still cooler than traditional incandescent bulb, but the 2700k colour temperature ones are good for most things.  Plus unlike CFLs you can get dimmable LEDs.

We're slowly moving over to LED, one experiment at a time.  This is the latest.
