The ringing stone
This erratic rolled in from Rum 10,000 years ago ( or was dropped by a giant, if you prefer the legend). Here it sits on the Atlantic coast of Tiree, covered in mysterious cup markings.
A lovely, magical place, with lots of seabirds and a glimpse of a sea otter.
In the morning, we had visited Ben Hynish. There is a radar station on top and S and D managed to cycle all the way. I have to admit that I got off and pushed my bike up the steep part. Wonderful views of the whole island from the top. And a great whizz down!
