Flower Friday - Hellebore

It was a very wet morning so this rather lovely Hellebore in the garden looks a trifle damp.

It was taken quickly this morning before we set off to Leeds for the funeral of Mrs C's 95-year-old aunt. We'd last seen her just before Christmas when we took the aunt's sister (my Mum-in-Law) to visit her - I blipped the sisters ageing (dis)gracefully here. She was more frail than she looked when we saw her, and sadly she gradually became weaker and more bedbound over the ensuing weeks and "faded away". But she'd had a good life and a good innings so we celebrated her life at the funeral.

We're now spending the weekend with Mum-in-Law in Macclesfield.
