Roland Hill

I should have guessed this was Roland Hill, standing outside the old GPO headquarters just round the corner from St Paul's Cathedral.  In good blip fashion I studied the inscription which reads - He introduced the uniform penny postage 1840. As the penny stamp was black I have opted for mono tone with a splash of red. More history of the penny post can be read here. 

My version of Photoshop Elements ( very old V8 which was somehow free on my PC) seems to have stopped working and I could not convert a layer to B&W,  so had to do this online.  Any recommendations for photo editing software other than Photoshop?
