Bowderdale
The forecast was lots of snow - but waking this morning it was clear that it had fallen mostly to the South & West of us - the central fells looked fabulous - but the Howgills were merely dusted.
An interesting meeting today to review an accident at a climbing wall - all the more so for me as I'd actually encountered the (independent) group earlier in the week and voiced some concerns - clearly they weren't heeded - a broken leg is a harsh learning curve for all concerned - hopefully when my report is written there'll at least be an opportunity for some lessons to be shared.
I'd put pooch in the car in the hope that we'd find somewhere to play in the snow - but with reports to write, the booking site for the first of this years events to launch & packing for both this weekends first aid course and next weeks trip to the Alps - it just wasn't possible to go too far afield - so in the end we settled for a walk on Kelleth Fell - - for any map fans we we're by the big F (& no not the one in Fell, lol) - this was the view across into the fabulous valley of Bowderdale.
& so to Philosophy Friday;

Muhammad Ali was right - its all about the journey.
