Sweet spot - Squirrel Blip Friday edition

My lesson for today - Lens Sweet Spot: knowing the strengths and weaknesses of my gear and shooting in a way that brings out the best in it.
Lenses are not uniformly sharp at every aperture, nor at every focusing distance.
I have lowered my max aperture f/5.6 two stops to f/7.1 and I have noticed a positive result.
There will be times where I’ll need to shoot with my lens max aperture for instance in low light or to get shallow depth of field.
