Do Robins understand Sparrows?

I'm stuck at home this morning, as my foot is really sore, I didn't want to drive. I've done ironing sitting down and then took my camera into the garden/ building site, I sat and watched as Robins and Sparrows flew around singing to each other too, I wonder if Robins understand Sparrows?
Any way the Cherry blossom from next door neighbours is overhanging so I've blipped that. I've also captured a Sparrow taking nesting material under the Facia board of our house, (I can't blip that as I can't get to my computer until later) shame they are nesting there as the facia need replacing and they have several clutches of chicks during the summer, hopefully they will be finished by the time we need to get there.
