Down By the Zoological Gardens

An unexpected break in the weather brought myself an Fluffikens to Dublin Zoo this morning and we were not disappointed.

Strangely though both of us live within a short distance of nature reserves we both tend to get unusual photos here of native fauna. Today I snapped three separate grey herons flying overhead with branches for their nests and watched a male preen for an hour in some of the strangest poses I ever saw.....

We had a very pleasant trip to the zoo and are both looking forward to another trip next week to cover what we missed today....just saying
