Marble

The brief sunny spell this afternoon brought out a milky, low contrast light to my local landscape with one of my favourite trees, but which also largely failed to ignite my imagination or my pictures.

However, the brisk breeze moved the clouds quickly and this subtle scene adjacent to the sun looked as if it had potential. It's taken a fair bit of selective dodging and burning to bring out the marble here to its best potential.

So wish Spring would finally spring, as after it clouded over, such a congealing cloying and very very cold dull weather, but in hindsight lovely trees such as this won't look so good fully clothed...
